GRADUATE STUDENTS
Grace Privett
Grace completed her Ph.D. degree in Summer 2024. She then became a postdoctoral scholar in the Willett Regenerative Lab at the Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact. Grace’s research interests include modeling aged skeletal muscle using micro-physiological systems and developing therapeutics to preserve skeletal muscle function in older adults. Ultimately, Grace hopes her work will contribute to enhanced mobility and quality of life for older adults.
Scott Mongold
Completed Fall 2021 with a M.S. degree. He is interested in skeletal muscle compliance and composition in resistance trained and non-trained women.

Alex Batrouny
Originally from Overland Park, KS, Alex moved to Oregon two years ago and is a junior at the University of Oregon working toward a B.S. in Biology. Alex is interested in sports–related sciences and his primary ambition is medical school. When he’s not helping in the lab, Alex loves to do anything outdoors or related to physical activity. He’s a competitive triathlete and loves to rock climb and play soccer and tennis
Jordan Cooper
Originally from Issaquah, Washington, Jordan moved to Oregon 3 years ago and is a senior at the UO. Jordan is working towards a B.S. in Biology and Human Physiology. He is interested in sports medicine and hopes to become a physical therapist. When he isn’t working in the lab, Jordan enjoys exploring and any physical activity. He is also an avid soccer player and enjoys watching the Seattle Sounders.
Anya Gallup
Born and raised in Springfield, Anya is a life-long Ducks fan entering her senior year at the University of Oregon. She is interested in working with professional athletes and pursuing a graduate degree in physical therapy. Anya is working on projects related to training status and the mechanisms of altered tissue stiffness and how those differences may affect the risk for injury. Outside the lab, she enjoys hiking and basketball.
Okeoma Okoro
A senior, majoring in Human Physiology. He is assisting on projects related to human performance and injury risk in female athletes. Okeoma first became interested in the lab as a research subject but was so fascinated by what was done with his muscle that he decided to stick around. We’re lucky he did! After graduation, Okeoma plans to pursue a career in Athletic Training.
Allen Donovan
A Senior studying human physiology, is from Oregon City, Oregon. He is a pre-medical student with a minor in Chemistry. His long-term goal is to practice as a cardiovascular surgeon. In addition to his academic coursework, he enjoys serving at the River Bend hospital in Springfield, Oregon. Beyond his academic and professional obligations, Allen is a proponent of the Core Leadership Team at the Collegiate Christian Fellowship and manages the Alpha Omega house at UO. You can often find Allen playing basketball or running (fast) circles around University of Oregon campus.
